Orchestra Players Checklist for Gigs
Posted: Tue Oct 21, 2014 8:23 am
Here is a provisional list of what to take to gigs apart from your instrument
At some point I have, or others have, left any of the following items at home.....
Set List ( Check on the day - it can change )
Music ( To match set list....)
Music Stand ( To keep music off the floor )
Clothes pegs ( To keep music on stand if disturbed by wind or passing Orchestra member squeezing past on unfeasably small stage)
Tent pegs ( To hold music stand down if set up on grass )
Music light ( To see music when there are no lights. Mighty Bright are recommended )
Spare batteries ( For music light as they don't last for ever )
Glasses ( If you need them to read music)
Pen/pencil ( To write stuff on your part, changes to set list etc )
Costume ( You don't want to look out of place in you regular clothes now, do you ? )
Flyers ( With Orchestra contact details for potential new members )
Umbrella ( Could be some standing around in the rain involved )
Feel free to add you own...
