Bristol Refugee Festival 2021

Post by jessemorning »

This year we'll be playing a Turkish folk song accompanying the amazing Özcan Ateş and his Baglama (a seven string saz).
The performance will be in video form like last year.

The Song is called Gel Benim Derdime Bir Derman Eyle

the music is here: https://music.fantasyorchestra.org/Cate ... el-Binem/
play along with any of the mp3s. the tempo is 120BPM be careful the intro is 4/4 but the rest of the song is 5/4. Its going to be an epic FO classic. If this goes well i'll suggest we do at St Georges aswell.

Dress code - gold, silver sparkly, red, blue and green. as you like
please film with
- plain background
- portrait mode (unless your instrument doesn't fit in - then landscape is fine)
- feel free to send a separate audio file if you make too many mistakes in your main video
- please dont send too many vids though !

deadline is 13 june. please send to thefantasyorchestra@gmail.com BEFORE that
use wetransfer.com or https://www.fromsmash.com/

good luck everyone!
jesse

according to google translate the lyrics are
COME TO MY TROUBLE
Come make a remedy for my troubles
May the worlds be the cure for your troubles
Make a decree to the verdict of my self
Let the realms be decree

Your name is Haydar, your name is Ali
Hak Murtaza said to you, Veli
The end of the world and the home of the world
You are the sultan to the custody property

My Pir Sultan Abdal, I ended up in the square
Wherever I looked, I saw my half
I made my rosary in the dawn
You are the host of strange hearts
