Continuing Covid safety at rehearsals

Please keep the following in mind:

On entry - Please clean your hands with the sanitiser provided.
Social distancing - Be mindful of others and keep a 2m distance whenever you can, this is a larger venue than Brickworks so it's a bit easier to spread out. We'll leave doors open for airflow.
Masks - Please wear a mask as you enter the building, and continue to wear it when not singing or playing. If you can wear a mask when playing, please do so.
Choir - It's now OK to sing without a mask but again, please space out well in the venue.
Brass Players - Bring your own container for liquid effluent, and take it away afterwards. Do not deposit on the stage floor as you usually would
Amplifier Users - There is power available.
Afterwards - Collect your things and leave the hall promptly. If you want to have a chat with your fellow members, please do that outside.
Cleaning up - We need to leave the building as we find it and give it a clean round (helpers to do this much appreciated).

A note from Kathy and the Committee:
If someone develops symptoms or tests positive for Covid within 48 hours of attending rehearsal, everyone within 2 metres of them (for a minimum period of 15 minutes) could be at high risk and should request a PCR test and continue to monitor themselves with daily lateral flow tests. We will email you personally if that is likely to be the case, while protecting the person who has become ill. We will also send a general email out to all attendees.

If someone develops Covid symptoms more than 48 hours after attending rehearsal, they are deemed by test and trace as unlikely to have been infectious and they discount it. We however will still send out an email to everyone asking that you are cautious and suggest you check yourselves with lateral flow tests to be on the safe side.

We will keep ventilation as a priority even if it’s really cold (sorry I know it’s not pleasant or tuneful ). We will stick to wearing masks where we can, keep the register up to date and ask that you take a lateral flow test on the day you attend. Please ensure we have up to date contact details for you too.

Again thank you for being really great about staying away with colds and any hint of a risk. Thank you too in being so prompt in warning us if you, or your nearest and dearest are unwell with Covid and feel you might be a risk. We really appreciate your candour and concern. Stay well … and if you're not and are stuck at home, there’s lots of us nearby that can help out. Just let us know.

Kathy (Chair) and The FO committee.

As before, please don't come if you have any concerns about recent exposure to the virus, or have any symptoms.
