Important information for artists arriving at Priston Festival by car.
Please share with all band members .
Priston is a small festival and the site is quite difficult to manage, especially in terms of cars.
Please follow these instructions to make everyone's life easier.
Priston is about 15 minutes from the centre of Bath and 35 minutes from the centre of Bristol.
The postcode of the village hall is BA2 9EE.
Finding the artist's parking
Follow artist parking signs, drive up lane behind pub - at the barrier which is there to prevent
‘punters’ using this lane, please say who you are and you will be let through.
Do not park on any road, just follow signs to the parking field. It is only a 3 minute or so walk back
to the stage (on road surface).
If you arrive by car and your
equipment is easily carried
If you have to drop off
Click on this link, map, to see a public Google map of the festival
showing all the venues and the location of Priston itself.
On completion of your set Please do the reverse – either carry equipment straight to car – or use
Please drive straight to the artist's parking field. (See above)
Follow artist parking signs. Pull in where there is a sign saying
Artist/Equipment Drop Off Point
Unload equipment into the drop-off tent which will be manned by a
security guard or volunteer.
Move car immediately to performers' car park after unloading .
When you walk back to site – 3 mins - move your equipment into the
green room ready to go on stage.
Look out for Rebecca, who is doing the meet and greet.
the drop off point to pick up heavy equipment .
It is important you stop there only if you plan to leave straight away.
Remember Please do not park in the drop off / pick up point for anything other
than loading or unloading

Camping
There will be camping available for us at Priston on Friday and Saturday nights. It's a large flat field with a portaloo and water from a tap nearby. To get there you continue along the lane past the church. the road swings left and then right and just where it seems to end and turn into a path, there's a gate into the field on the right. We'll need to be reasonably quiet and I don't think fires are allowed. it's kind of officially unofficial, and free of charge.

Cycling to Priston
Hello,
Those who want to cycle to Priston there is a group of us leaving from Bristol at 11.00 am on Saturday morning. Stan has kindly worked out a route for us that will take us out towards Whitchurch which will be a gentle ascent and off main roads - after that it will be quite hilly.
PLEASE GATHER OUTSIDE REDCLIFF CHURCH for 11.00am departure. Please could you let me know if you plan on coming...
I've not done it before and am not amazing at reading maps, but we'll get there between us... I'll print out a few copies of the maps and instructions that Stan has sent. It should take about an hour and a half if we don't stop - but we'll have time to amble and stop for a picnic, so bring some lunch stuff along to share. We'll get there in time to help set up and sound check for 1.30pm.
The weather forecast is still looking good - 19 degrees and sunny!
I haven't yet decided if I am going to camp - if I do i'll be heading back early Sunday morning, if I don't i'll cycle back at a decent time Saturday evening - A few others thinking of cycling are heading back Saturday night. We can sort out return plans between those interested.

And this is an edited copy and paste from Lisa's cycling message from when we cycled to Looe, not such an epic trip but worth still being prepared (thanks Lisa).
A suggestion for things to bring, please feel free to add or ignore
> spare inner tube
> lights
> special tools you might need for your bike
> pump
> puncture repair kit
> sun protection, including something for your head (much less likely for this trip!)
> water
> waterproofs - and make sure your baggage is water proof too
> comfortable clothing, two sets in case one gets soaking wet - check the forecast; some warm clothes for the evening, your body feels the cold more after a day's ride
> first aid
> maybe a helmet
> some food on you whilst cycling, you'll loose energy quicker...
