We're the Bristol branch of a world-wide franchise called the Fantasy Orchestra International run by Jesse D Morningstar Vernon. The idea is to bring people together to play fantastic, fun, flamboyant and very emotionally uplifting music and to entertain. There are no auditions but we ask people to contribute financially if they enjoy the orchestra after 3 sessions. Membership is currently £20 per year. This money is used to pay for time spent doing arrangements and to provide the orchestra with a kitty for projects such as recordings, putting on events and even purchasing instruments. We tend to play a new set each quarter, and do about 10 shows per year.
Concessions are available arrangement we'd like the orchestra to be open to all! - likewise if you've a little cash to spare and appreciate the project you're free to contribute more, also by arrangement!
There is also a charge to cover rehearsal costs which is currently £3pp for choir and orchestra but these may go up pretty soon too.
Rehearsals are run separately for choir and orchestra:
Orchestra have been taking place on tuesday evenings 7-9pm at either the greenbank pub in easton or kuumba centre, st pauls. These sessions are run by Jenny Sansom a champion whistler and great all round musician.
Choir - 7:30-9:30, at tonys house: 45 Richmond Road , Montpelier. Ceri usually send out a mail saying whether or not its happening. the choir rehearsals are run by Georg(iana).

Re: Welcome email template
Hi Jesse
Welcome email looks awesome! Thanks for that.
A very small point...
You may want to add something like "Choir rehearsal have been taking place on Tuesday evenings"...7:30-9:30, at Tony's house:
(Just for those who are a bit dense and scanning the emails for the bit of info they need)
Cheers
Shanti

Looks good.. One thing, will we be going back to fortnightly rehearsals throughout the non-busy times, and if so is it worth saying that? George

Thank you, Jesse, looks great.
can you change my number to my mobile 07554418303?
maybe make the forum link a hyperlink too?
also, we could say simply its currently £20 there is no need to explain why or what might happen to it in the future at this stage?
